JOIN US JUNE 16-25
IN KENTUCKY
Lord willing, two full buses will be taking in the sites of the beautiful state of Kentucky this summer. One bus will originate at MLC in New Ulm, MN on June 16 and the other will begin at St John Lutheran Church (Oakwood) in Oak Creek, WI on June 17. A detailed itinerary is available by clicking here.
The Lord called Professor Lyle Lange to his side on December 1. We are very thankful that he is home with Jesus, but saddened that our fellowship with him is on recess until we join him there. As many of you know, he was passionate about apologetics, held the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in high regard, and had intended to join us as one of our guides. In his place, we're pleased to inform you that Rev Mike Otterstatter, MLC Vice-President for Mission Advancement, and Greg Diersen, MLC Professor of Science, will be joining us as guides and devotion leaders.
OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
Lexington and Frankfort
Lexington is rightly billed as the "Horse Capital of the World". We'll enjoy a step-on guided tour of the region as well as visits to the State Capitol, Buffalo Trace Distillery, Keeneland Race Track, and your choice of Old Kentucky Chocolates or the Toyota-Georgetown manufacturing plant.
Cumberland Gap and Cumberland Falls
Few states can rival Kentucky in the quality and quantify of its state parks. We'll take time to explore some of the most spectacular including Natural Bridge and Cumberland Falls. A morning trip over to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park will add to your understanding of the area.
Mammoth Cave and Louisville
A tour of the world's largest cave system will enlighten you to the amazing parts of creation found only in the darkness of the underground while a step-on guided tour of Louisville will include a brief photo-op stop at the famous Churchill Downs.
