IN KENTUCKY
Lord willing, two full buses will be taking in the sites of the beautiful state of Kentucky this summer. One bus will originate at MLC in New Ulm, MN on June 16 and the other will begin at St John Lutheran Church (Oakwood) in Oak Creek, WI on June 17. A detailed itinerary is available by clicking here.
The Lord called Professor Lyle Lange to his side on December 1. We are very thankful that he is home with Jesus, but saddened that our fellowship with him is on recess until we join him there. As many of you know, he was passionate about apologetics, held the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in high regard, and had intended to join us as one of our guides. In his place, we're pleased to inform you that Rev Mike Otterstatter, MLC Vice-President for Mission Advancement, and Greg Diersen, MLC Professor of Science, will be joining us as guides and devotion leaders.
Southern Kentucky/Cumberland Area
Like many locations in Kentucky, the Cumberland River, mountains, lake, gap, city, and county were named for an Englishman (Prince William, Duke of Cumberland in this case). The gap opened western expansion through the Appalachians into Kentucky and Tennessee. The region is known for its scenic beauty and friendly folks.
